Minnesota Chemist and Electronics Technician Evan A. Weitz

A doctor of chemistry with more than eight years of laboratory research experience,
Evan A. Weitz serves as a co-owner and senior lab technician of Absolute Sound Laboratories in the Minneapolis suburb of Savage, Minnesota. He also tutors students in preparation for the ACT exam as an employee of Achieve Academics in nearby Plymouth. Evan A. Weitz formerly served two years as a research specialist with the Pierre Research Group of the University of Minnesota, where he contributed to luminescent chemical probe projects that ultimately found publication in journals such as Chemical Science and Chemical Communications.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Evan A. Weitz is an active member of Mensa International and a skilled piano player who has collected a range of keyboards and synthesizers. He has also amassed a collection of more than 150 rare and out-of-print board games with a concentration on products from the mid-1950s to the mid-1980s. As an adventure skier, Mr. Weitz regularly travels from the Minneapolis area to explore helicopter skiing in Canada and Montana.
